Youth Social entrepreneurs, 2012

When opportunity extends a hand grab it and climb aboard

This project began when The Seattle Center approached me about creating an installation that would comment on our future for the Next 50 Celebration.  After much discussion we agreed on a portrait installation of young social entrepreneurs (“social entrepreneur” defines someone who initiates or innovates social change).  The chosen subjects are all between the ages of twenty and thirty years old.  In addition to this instillation, with the fantastic team of Lindsay Martin and Noah Dassel, we have created a video overview outlining the projects and accomplishments of these young people who are slowly changing our world. I am honored to have had the opportunity to meet and work with such a dynamic group of heroes.  I hope this exhibit will serve not only to inform others of these contributions, but to inspire involvement toward social change.
